If I use 1 space between strings I can’t use it sometime. I see 1.5 or 2 spaces between strings.
Why? Where to correct this problem?
Hi,
what kind of “strings” do you use? Borders (paragraph)? Lines (drawing tool)? Table borders?
Please upload a sample file and tell us OS und LO versions. Thank you.
Thank you! In an attached file you may see the example of this problem - 3333333333333333333333333 - with unknown causes of the space under this text
LibreOfficeProblemx002a.odt (14.2 KB)
In your case you could set the row height as Fixed. For better displaying use Center Vertically (within table cells).
Be aware that 2 text lines in a paragraph will sometimes not entirely be displayed (red triangle).
.
Another possibility is to define fixed Line Spacing within paragraphs resp. paragraph styles and use borders.
.
In your uploaded sample file I see the problem of 2-lined paragraphs. How are they to handle?
Check the paragraph styles. It is formatted as Preformatted Text, the other lines are formatted as Default Paragraph Style.
All in all: Format the text contents in a unique pararagraph style, I would apply Table Contents, for the heading Table Heading. If you want to change anything then alter the paragraph styles.
.
EDIT
When inserting some text in the table, then use Paste Special :: Unformatted Text for better control.
Your sample file is plagued with direct formatting, i.e. formatting applied with buttons or keyboard shortcuts. Direct formatting takes precedence over styles which masks the changes you could have applied on styles.
To make things worse, you have different font faces. And AFAIK, Nimbus Roman No9 L is a Type 1 font. This type is no longer supported by LO font renderer and the face is very likely substituted. I liked this face very much but I had to replace it with TeX Gyre Termes (with an adjustment on line spacing so that I get the same result).
Thanks! There is an other variant how to solve this task:
I have changed the paragraph style and after it this task was solved.
