Touchpad scrolling impossibly fast in Windows 11

The scrolling function in Libre Office Writer is unusable because it is too fast. Same thing in Libre Office Calc. I don’t have this problem anywhere else, so it is definitely a Libre Office bug. There appear to have been several post about this over the years:

Has anyone found a fix for this?

I am updating to LibreOffice 7.6.4 now and will report back on any errors.

I think it depends on the touchpad driver. On my Asus Swift 3, I use two fingers to scroll; if I keep one finger still and move the other I can scroll a slow as two lines at a time. I think the two lines come from the mouse setting, Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Mouse > Wheel and I had set 2 lines under Roll wheel one notch to scroll. If yours is exceptionally fast you might have One screen at a time set.

Thanks for your response. That, however, is not my setting for the mouse wheel. My setting is ‘Multiple lines at a time’.

I’m on a Windows 11 laptop and the setting under “Bluetooth & devices > Mouse: Lines to scroll at a time” was 3. Setting this value, on its slider, to 1, the minimum, reduces two finger touchpad scrolling to a manageable speed. On a spreadsheet, a small gesture gets four or five rows at a time; and with care, for demonstration purposes, I can scroll one row.

Thanks for the first useful suggestion, although some posting must have made a prior suggestion regarding this website.
