Under date format 2/4 etc shows as 2-Apr etc. This applies to all dates in all my spreadsheets. Except for 1/4 which always shows as ¼. Is this intended as some sort of April fool joke?

Under date format 2/4 etc shows as 2-Apr etc. This applies to all dates in all my spreadsheets. Except for 1/4 which always shows as ¼. Is this intended as some sort of April fool joke? If so seems a bit silly. It’s not hard to circumvent of course, with the date format I use I can just type 1-Apr instead of 1/4
