I recently upgrade to XUBUNTU 16.04. Installed BASE as 16.04 does not come standard.
I get the following error when trying to open up a report from a form:
BASIC runtime error.
An exception occurred
Type: com.sun.star.loader.CannotActivateFactoryException
Message: loading component library <file:///usr/lib/libreoffice/program/../program/librptlo.so> failed.
Can someone please let me know how to resolve the issue.
Not that it’s any help but I’m getting a very similar problem error message with reports running my Base application SecretaryBird on Ubuntu-Mate v16.04 on a Raspberry PI3 with LO 6.1.2.2
N.B. The identical application runs fine on OSX10.10.5 & Windows 10 with the same version of LO

This does not directly answer your question but may help. Last month I installed xubuntu 16.04 just for some hardware convenience (which didn’t fully work). The first thing I noticed was no Base on LO, my primary usage. I don’t like fooling around with distro installed aps so I completely removed LO and simply installed a complete version. Had no problems with Base or any other. Since removed 16.04 for other reasons.
I installed synaptic package manager and by chance came across libreoffice report builder utilities that are not installed with the standard xubuntu distro. Installed them and it now works like a charm
