V25.2 Scroll Bar Sliders Invisible

Version: 25.2.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: e1cf4a87eb02d755bce1a01209907ea5ddc8f069
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10 X86_64 (10.0 build 19045); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-CA (en_GB); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL threaded

Opened a document from v24.8.x and noticed that the scroll bar sliders have the same colour as the bars, so a little invisible. Not found any way to change the colour yet. Anyone got a solution ?

Thanks

  1. Click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance
  2. Create a new LibreOffice Theme by clicking the New button. Give it a name
  3. Under Customisations, Select Base Color and choose a suitable colour. The image below shows the type of place where that colour (I chose Light Lime 1) is applied.

I assume there will be some documentation at some stage
[Edit]
You could instead try a theme such as Office 2003 Blue Theme » Libreoffice Extensions

►(I do not know why I cannot make paragraphs to render in this text box) I find the option to change the base color under Appearance" in LO 25.2.1.2 can help make the scrollbar slider distinctive. But apart from that, I worked for over 2 hours trying to customize LO 25.2 to be as suitable as LO 24.8.

►Note that there is a replacement of “Personalization” and “Application colors” in my LO Portable ver. 24.8.3.1 with “Appearance” in LO 25.2.1.2 (a normal install) which places the both under one category.

►I hoped to obtain the theme and colors of ver. 24 in 25.2, but found that difficult, for changing on aspect can have unwanted effects in another. I found the black theme to render some things hard to see, partly due to previous ver. icons being changed.

►My present 25.2 toolbars after experimentation: https://i.postimg.cc/bNvhyYjD/LO-Toolbar-25-2-Custom2.jpg. Note, I have not tried Base color yet. I want the letters such as B I U to stand out, but find that hard to do.

►Here are some of the settings I choose as of now: https://i.postimg.cc/t4ZG6rJ9/LO-25-2-Aprnce.jpg

►Hope this helps.

►As for scrollbars, here is what I would like: https://i.postimg.cc/6pHWfgsL/Custom-Scrollbars.jpg

►As one may see, I like colors, and which I find more attractive as well as making it easier to quickly find functions (and Windows XP excelled in this fine-tuning).

►And I very much appreciate LO and the work of those who code it all, and thank God for them.

Thank you for the links and for keeping an eye on this. And How to get back the previous UI colors? asks some good questions. Just what aspect of the Toolbar do the icons for Bold, Italics, etc. belong to?

The reason I asked “what aspect of the Toolbar do the icons for Bold, Italics, etc. belong to” as regards the fine-tuning Appearance Customization, is because some of the icons on the toolbar were dark, in the dark theme, and thus barely visible.

And I want visibility.

The solution I found was/is that of using the Icon Theme “Colibre (SVG + Dark)” which is under View in Tools>Options.

That rendered the icons visible very well, thank God.

II’m lazy and use a dot, but html is possible:

Here I used a <BR>

Thanks. I had forgotten the notice. HTML break <P> did not work for me but I <BK> did (and which is visible here by using the preformatted text (</>) code on the toolbar) until I tried experimentation due to the comment that follows.

The <p> tag defines a paragraph.

The <br> tag inserts a single line break.

After experimentation on the post at issue, neither worked as rendered on my Firefox browser. It all is rendered as only breaks.

Selected HTML from the post at issue, as copied from "View selection source," is below:
