I use calc and charts a lot. I would like to write or insert comments of a chart to explain a changer in the data plot.
You can use a graphical shape (with or without transparency) as a comment box

Thanks but I need more help. It appears the chart needs to be in a special format for the selected shape to be available. Also I can get a small box near my mouse pointer but it does not transfer to the chart. Sometimes it works on your demo and sometimes it does not.
