Unwanted Blank Page at end of PDF after LibreOffice upgrade

Blank page appearing at end of document when converted to PDF.

I have recently upgraded from LibreOffice 5.4 to 6.2. When we convert a .odf document to PDF a blank page is getting appended in some circumstances. The blank page does not have a footer on it where we have a footer defined for the document. With version 5.4 we do not see this behavior.

Issue Statement.odt

5.5 build.odt

6.2 build.odt

PropertyQuote5-4.odf

PropertyQuote6-2.odf

I do have example pdfs for the two odf files but the site is preventing uploading them.

Hi
When exporting your pdf first time use File | Export As… | Export As PDF…

On the General tab untick “Export automatically inserted blank pages” and check all the other settings are OK. After that you can use Export Directly as PDF and Libreoffice will use your last settings.

Interestingly, your page style shouldn’t generate an extra page as it uses the same style for both right and left pages as far as I can see. As a possibility you could also go to Tools | Options | Libreoffice Writer | Print and untick “Print automatically inserted pages”.

Cheers,
Al

Al,
Thanks for responding. I wish I could do this but the conversion is done through a headless convert. Within a Docker Container Libre Office convert is invoked through JODConvert.

More Info
I have downloaded version 6.2.6 for OSX and have run a test against that. The blank page issue is not seen with this version on OSX but is seen on this version for Ubuntu. Could possibly be an Ubuntu specific issue.

When running the conversion in Docker this issue does not occur with LO v6.1.x but does occur with LO 6.2.x and above. Same results when Docker is using either an Ubuntu image or an Alpine Image.
