3 fold brochure template

Can I create an A4 size 3 fold brochure template?

Do you mean something like this?

Holy Moly I’m new here! Lots to learn…

I’m getting all kinds of malware warnings about using this software

This is a cause of worry.

  • When do you get warnings about using the software? (e.g. when actually using it, when downloading, when you speak to friends about it.)
  • What kind of warnings do you get? (e.g. onscreen popups, security log messages, word of mouth)
  • Which antimalware and other security software are you using (e.g. Microsoft Defender, McAfee, Avira) and is it a free version or paid subscription?

There are many causes of malware warnings. They come in different flavors.

  • Actual malware detection. This usually comes from downloading from a random link/search result instead of going via www.libreoffice.org.
  • False positive. Your security software detects a pattern (“fingerprint”) or software behavior which is consistent with what some malware displays. More agressive antimalware settings cause more frequent false positives. Updating of antimalware software reduces likelihood of this.
  • Scam. This sometimes means that you already have malware infection, but more often you just allowed some website to send you alerts. It tries to influence your behavior in some manner. (make you buy a bogus antimalware product, grant the malware additional privileges, choose different software.)
Some “scam messages” are also found on internet forum/QA sites, usually with very little detail, and/or otherwise evasive. (E.g. “I’m getting all kinds of malware warnings …” or “… is too difficult to use.”)

Thank you for your support.
The warnings are coming from the paid Bitdefender subscription account which is on every household device here.
It takes us a long time to get our heads around these online software formats!
It’s a simple A4 doc template that is created in landscape mode, using text only for our particular purposes, then printed on both sides before folding. The brochure is formatted to automatically word wrap every column. The only problem is that the supplied Microsoft Office 2004 software is very old but
“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” :joy:
We still have the Microsoft disc that came with the now extinct XP PC RIP🙏
We are also very suspicious of these cheap one off download “genuine” Microsoft Office keys that are available to purchase online :face_with_monocle:🫣
Are their reviews genuine
This incident is all good for learning from isn’t it :white_check_mark:
IT :t_rex:

@Sasha1
Attached you find 2 attempts (0,5 cm margin; 1 cm margin) of a current project.
(On the internet there are lots of examples but mostly inconvenient in proceeding…)
Your question is a bit too general for better advice.

Original language is German.

Flyer3Cols_0.5cmMargin.odg (25.0 KB)
Flyer3Cols_1cmMargin.odg (29.5 KB)
LetterFold_3ColsFlyer.odg (30.2 KB)

I’m referring to the template on the Office suite from Microsoft Works 2004 on the XP computer that has died.

RIP XP

It was the only bit of office software in use. It was just an A4 template that automatically word processed text into 3 sections that could be folded into a leaflet after printing.

This looks kinda OK but the markings are too technical to comprehend!

Will probably have to purchase Office…shame just for one programme :man_facepalming:

@Sasha1
You may probably get “your” MS Works by using these pieces of advice:
Microsoft Works Free Download & Use Guide for Windows 10/11 :joy:
.
Your arguments remind me of my driving school’s practice on a Volkswagen Beetle. Now I drive an Opel (Vauxhall) Corsa. When I’m backing into a parking space I have to transfer my former skills into current ones. Holy Moly!

An internet search for tri-fold brochure templates brings an overwhelming number of templates. Any Microsoft A4 template should work. There is one template on extensions site Simple A4 trifold » Extensions.

It isn’t too hard creating your own, it just depends on what layout you want and if you want text to flow or stay in each panel. This is one occasion where frames really can be anchored to page if that is what is needed.
