Format Text Overline Lambda won't sustain

Hi there,

I am experiencing a weird problem on Impress.
A want to create a overline over Lambda symbol.
Format Text Overline symbol works fine.
However, after saving document and quit, when I open the file again overline does not show up.
Please, advise.

I suppose you are saving as pptx. My version of Powerpoint (2010) does not provide an overline for characters so it probably isn’t supported by the format.

I tried using a Math object but Powerpoint interpreted it in a smaller font size and made it italic even with nitalic applied.

As you are saving in a different format than native format then it might be best to convert the character to a curve.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yup, I am saving my Impress file as pptx.
Sorry, I did not get it converting the character to a curve.
Would you please give me a direction?

Select the character(s) and in the menu click Format > Convert > to curve
