I was disappointed to be unable to find an Esperanto spell-checker dictionary on the LibreOffice extensions site. (Using Windows 7) I found one on OpenOffice.org, so simply extracted the files from the .oxt file and saved them in a new folder called “dict.eo” in “\LibreOffice 4.0\share\extensions”. When I opened up Writer, I was delighted to see “Esperanto” available as a language. Misspelled words are red-underlined correctly, but right-clicking for a context menu of suggestions takes an inordinately long time compared with other languages, whose suggestions appear immediately. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to modify the .aff/.dic files (or other files in the folder) to make it run faster with LibreOffice 4.0.4.2. (Using Literumilo OOo package).
I have no answer in terms of how to improve the performance of a custom dictionary under LO, however the answer here suggests the LanguageTool extension supports Esperanto.
