How to put automatically a (round) brackets around note callout

Is it possible to configurate note callout (not note reference! it’s easy to do…) to put automatically a (round) brackets around? I’d like to have: “text text(1) text”…

How do I format a footnote anchor?

I want to use a footnote anchor style such as this: [12] with a minimal separation between my text and the anchor; with automatically inserting the [ and ] before and after the footnote anchor, and in superscript size. The superscript part is easy to format with the Footnote Anchor style already provided. But no the other requirements. Is it possible? If so, how do I achieve it?

Thank you but:
(1) some solutions require you to use a font that already has the (rare) glyphs with numbers + parentheses (Unicode range 2474-2487) and in any case these glyphs cannot be more than 20, so if there are more than 20 notes in the text the solution does not work. (2) Another solution is to use an addon that is no longer available.

Thank for your further information. Everything you report can be done with Libreoffice functions.
But in the first post, I read: « The anchor in main text is entirely under your control (or at least its neighbouring). Consequently, if you want brackets around the anchor, type them manually».
I fount a more recent version of AltSearch extension which works. In any case, it puts brackets as normal text, and not a part of the field Endnote.
I must conclude that this function is not available in LibreOffice self…
