Impress doesn't respect snap settings?

I want to extend line straight vertically upward

but if I release mouse somewhere near existing group line snaps to it’s middle snap point

All snapping is turned off as you can see, any modifiers (Alt, Shift, Ctrl) don’t help - line keeps snapping to the middle…

Any way to stop this disturbing “helpfulness”?
(really already drives me crazy )

Use the Line tool, not a Connector which is made for one job, to snap to objects.

I’ve been pretty sure I was using Line tool, but fact is that those problem lines are connectors indeed. Probably icons are too similar in some variants of UI I experimented with…
