How to show margins

«Is there a way to have the margins show in a writer page? A continuous line showing the margins for the page.»
This question has been asked before, and the answer was
«They are shown when you choose to show formatting marks

This used to be correct, but after upgrade to 25.2.0.3 I can only see the formatting marks – not the margins.

Have you any custom menu?

Thank you very much! To bad it still does not work.

It might be an Appearance setting but given the fragility of the Appearance settings in 25.2.0 ( see New Writer loads in Dark Mode - #3 by vsfoote ) I suggest trying the Office 2003 Blue theme.

Click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance, click the add more themes icon, select a custom theme and allow LibreOffice to restart.

In addition to the Tools → Options → LibreOffice Writer → Formatting Aid preference [Border Outline | Crop Marks] radio button selection, you also must toggle the marks from the Main menu View → Boundaries

Also, clearing user profile and allowing it to rebuild with defaults is often helpful, though here default is for the View → Boundaries to show and the preference toggle to be set to Crop Marks.
