The "Find" function did a universal delete in LO writer

I'm on a Dell Latitude D505 and the distro is Linux Porteus.

I used Control F to open the Find function in LO writer. During the course of working, I noticed that two of the words I had put in the Find box had been universally deleted, as if they had been in the "Find & Replace" function with the word in the Find box and nothing in the Replace box. I tried to recreate how it happened but couldn't. I know there are short cut keys I may have hit. Any idea of what might have happened so I can avoid it happening again? Thank you.
