panel not showing libreoffice5

since upgrading to Libreoffice 5, whenever I open any LO program (writer. calc etc.), there is no 'indicator tab(?)' in the panel any more. So, if I minimize LO or switch to a different program, LO appears to disappear. I can only access it again by using ALT+Tab to switch between programs.

Linux Mint 17.3 32bit Cinnamon. Libre Office Version: 5.1.2.2 Build ID: 1:5.1.2~rc2-0ubuntu1~trusty0 CPU Threads: 2; OS Version: Linux 3.16; UI Render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8)

Sorry, not enough points to add in image.
